The Barn at Ballard Creek is located 10 miles south of Mankato on County Road 16.  We suggest you use "The Barn at Ballard Creek" for your GPS search rather than the street address.  Some mapping programs are incorrect and we want you and your guests to arrive at our wedding venue without any problems.  Please use the business entrance marked by our white business sign. 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? 

How late can the Event GO?

The standard event end-time is 12:00am, with music ending at 11:30pm.  If you'd like to celebrate into the late hours of the night, you can extend till 2:00am for $500.  

Does the venue rental fee include my rehearsal?

Yes!  The day prior to your event you may begin decorations as early as 3pm and conclude by 7pm.

CAN we use confetti or sparklers?

SPARKLERS - Yes! We have many roads away from the barn that make great sparkler sendoffs!  In order to protect wildlife, confetti is a no.  However, birdseed, bubbles and REAL pedals and leafs are all great options we permit! 

It is not included in our price, but yes, we can help coordinate shuttle services for your wedding! 

We do have a designated smoking area for you and your guests. 

The parking lot is connected to the main entry will ample lighting.  Walkways will guide you to the entrance of the venue where you will continue on to the ceremony.  We have parking to accommodate up to 100 vehicles. 

What is special about our country wedding venue is that we have both indoor and outdoor ceremony options.  In case of rain, we will utilize one level of the barn for the ceremony and the other level for the reception.   

Yes!  With a full day rental, we will provide active military members with a $500 discount.

We allow fur babies on the property on leash and kindly ask they are picked up after.  

ARE YOU PET-FRIENDLY?

Yes.  We provide round 5' tables as well as 8' and 6' long rectangular tables.  We also have a variety of whiskey barrels, wooden spools and wooden benches for you and your guests to enjoy throughout your event. 

We don't have any hidden fees.  We also offer monthly payment options to make it easier for you.  2023 couples will need to purchase Wedding Insurance.  We suggest WedSure which costs approx. $125.  Our 2024 packages will include Wedding Insurance.

We currently do not have sound equipment.  We can hook you up with a list of some amazing DJ's who will provide the best sound around! 

We have many memorable photo opportunities around the property including a 1966 Ford pickup, a Vintage Oliver Tractor, Vintage H Tractor, that can be placed at your favorite location! 

Some of the other favorite photo opportunities are the pathways through the woods, the meadows with the long horn cattle, the long grasses and wildflower fields, the Historic Red Granary, the Beautiful Barn, The Silo with its incredible vine, the crisp white Cape Cod Style Bridal Cottage, the Stone Chimney with willows, The Ivy Wall along the old Brick Farm Building, The Finnish Log Cabin and the Little Brick Smoke House.  Just to name a few! 

We have beautiful perennial and annual flower garden plans and expect these to be some of the best photos yet!
