As a Southern Minnesota Country Wedding Venue, we can tell you there’s nothing like the energy, renewal and excitement of a SPRING WEDDING! Spring weddings are the first of the season here at The Barn at Ballard Creek, as we run our season from April – October. When we renovated our historic barn, we made the decision to leave the wood exposed so that guests could experience the original 1905 barn feeling. All of our couples and their guests are in awe at the barn, the deep romantic hues of the original wood and hand hewn beams. Opening up the barn doors in spring is the best feeling and being the first of the season to get married is full of a little extra excitement! THE FRESH AIR OF SPRING

After a long, sleepy winter, everything is starting to wake up! The birds are chirping, the grass is green and the buds are starting to open and explode with color! Our oak and willow filled property starts to beam with energy and so much life!

EXCITEMENT

The excitement and anticipation to be the first couple getting married of the season is incredible! We all know there have been times when you have gone to seven weddings and aren’t sure there if you’ll ever be able to find another dress, right? Be the first to get married and everyone is SO excited to throw on their best look to celebrate with you!

All your vendors will be so excited as the beginning of wedding season brings a burst of energy to all the professionals involved to get the season started! More professionals will be available early spring rather than mid-summer and fall. Some vendors even offer spring specials!

Spring is full of an abundance of gorgeous local flowers! Tulips, daffodils, anemone, ranunculus and so many more! Reach out to your local florists and flower farms to support local businesses and to have the most gorgeous spring florals for your wedding!
