Sunday weddings can be overlooked but we think they are magical in so many ways. There are so many reasons Sunday weddings can give you and your guests the absolute best experience! Most couples instantly jump for Saturday weddings and Fridays typically book up next if they are available, because at The Barn at Ballard Creek, you always get the day prior with your wedding package! Sundays often get overlooked, but they come with a great promotional price, saving you money to splurge on other specialty items for you and your guests to enjoy!

Not only are Sundays a budget saver for your venue, photographer and other vendors, it also comes with a more relaxed vibe and way less stress! Kayleen and Devin is one of our favorite Sunday Micro Weddings.

Sunday weddings give you extra time with your loved ones. If your family and friends are traveling to come celebrate your big day, they will most likely arrive Friday so you will get the entire weekend to celebrate with them. You can enjoy welcoming gatherings at your favorite local restaurant like Nola Belle Kitchen, known for their amazing brunches and mimosa flights and rehearsal dinners at Pub 500 (who also catered this fabulous wedding!) for pre-wedding gatherings and more!

Our Tips to make Sunday Weddings the Best Experience:

– Dive into the fantastic afternoon feels and vibes. Imagine the sun warming the social hour courtyard and wrap around balcony with your guests mingling and enjoying a mimosa or playing yard games amongst the thousands of flowers with live music and the beautiful cows enjoying the company.

– Have fun with food! Play around with out of the ordinary passed appetizers or even food stations where your guests can pick their favorites. Picture mini burgers, baked mac and cheese bites, fruit tartlets or other decadent small bites that are so adorable and delicious! This is such a fun way to eat and socialize with family and friends.

– Take time to enjoy (and take photos!) in our pastures with the cows, the oak filled woods, the beautiful gently rolling hills and flower fields while taking in the countryside views. You may even be able to snap a picture with one of the chickens if you’re quick! Take time to laugh and smile and spend time with your family and friends celebrating you and yours on your big day!
